To question what you know is good, but to question what God has said will lead down a path to deception. Did God really say? A willingness to twist what God has said for one’s own desires is a turn towards an external voice of deception that leads down a path of knowledge that invokes independence from God and others. It is a snare for one’s own way that leads to dysfunction and death in the name of life. I fear, lest somehow, in the same way the serpent deceived Eve, you might fall for a different salvation, a different good news, and a different spirit and end up having to put up with it. His voice is a voice from within and it is confirmed by the shadow of His word in the past. The true path of destiny can be seen in the shadow of the good thing that was to come (Heb. 10:1).
